When I tried this recently in my work as a Regional Elder, the situation I was trying to find resolution for was not believed by the new minister of the congregation. After a couple of conversations with that minister, I felt disenfranchised and humiliated. However, after a third and fourth time, I finally felt believed and understood. What I learned from this is that persistence in work at communication is worth the effort.
