Refund policy

As part of the Open Source Steel (OSS) family, we will provide you with the best customer service and products. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, let us help you with a replacement, return, or exchange. Proof of purchase is required!

Used merchandise May Not be returned! 

Return policy - In store purchases:

Unused merchandise may be returned within 30 days. Product must be returned with all accessories (ie: wires, connectors, brackets etc). with a 20% restocking fee. 

Defective merchandise may be exchanged for the same item within 30 days. Merchandise purchased on a promotional discount may be subject to additional return restrictions

Products that are not subject to returns are custom configured products, used products, special orders, "Sale Items" and products sold "as is" or "used".

Return policy - Online Purchase:

Unused merchandise may be returned within 30 days of receiving your item with a 20% restocking fee. The customer will pay return shipping of the items. In order for the return to be processed the customer must have a return merchandise authorization (RMA) code and print it out to place inside the return. This can be obtained by calling (800) 333-4729 selecting option 3 for customer support or emailing support@opensourcesteel.com. If an authorization code is not acquired then the return Will Not be processed and you will have just given us back a free item. 

Shipping charges and/or shipping costs are not subject to refunds.

Products that are not subject to returns are custom configured products, used products, special orders, "Sale Items" and products sold "as is" or "used".

Absolutely No Refund/Return's:

There are absolutely no refunds or returns available on services provided by Open Source Steel. This is including but not limited to maintenance, on site consulting, in house consulting, engineering service, 3rd party contract services, design, repair, travel etc. 

Defective merchandise: 

may be exchanged for the same item within 30 days of receiving your item. OSS will pay for return shipping of the item. In order for the return process to begin the customer must call in for a prepaid return label as well as a return merchandise authorization (RMA) code. This can be obtained by calling (800) 333-4729 selecting option 3 for customer support or emailing support@opensourcesteel.com. If an authorization code is not acquired and the customer has not contacted OSS for a return label then the return Will Not be processed, shipping will not be refunded and you will have just given us back a free item.

Shipping Notice: 

It is recommended that you return/exchange merchandise with a carrier that offers tracking numbers and full value insurance on the parcels. Open Source Steel LLC,. cannot be responsible for any packages that are lost while being shipped to us. Please note that the USPS Priority Mail does not offer tracking capabilities on packages, and they will only initiate a trace on packages after a 30 day waiting period.

Text Marketing and notifications:
By entering your phone number in the checkout and initializing a purchase, subscribing via our subscription form or a keyword, you agree that we may send you text notifications (for your order, including abandoned cart reminders) and text marketing offers. Text marketing messages will not exceed [INSERT A NUMBER] a month. You acknowledge that consent is not a condition for any purchase.

If you wish to unsubscribe from receiving text marketing messages and notifications reply with STOP to any mobile message sent from us or use the unsubscribe link we provided you with in any of our messages. You understand and agree that alternative methods of opting out, such as using alternative words or requests will not be accounted as a reasonable means of opting out.
